Project Background:

As of April 2022, the warehouse covers an area of 1.38 million square meters, ranking first nationwide, accounting for 10.1% of the high-standard cold storage market in China. With rapid business growth, a four-way shuttle intelligent dense storage system was deployed, using a flexible logistics solution centered on four-way shuttles to achieve cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and intelligent management.

Pain Points:

Low space utilization; High energy consumption in cold storage environment, high battery requirements; Working environment affects health, recruitment difficulties.

Solution:

Equipment and Quantity: 40 four-way shuttles, 18 vertical lifts

Results:

Total warehouse area is 12,259.38 m², with a total of 20,073 pallet positions, more than 25% higher storage capacity than stacker crane systems; Four-way shuttle throughput: 240 pallets/hour, lift throughput: 69 pallets/hour, meeting business requirements; Fully automated and unmanned operation reduces personnel entry and exit, ensuring stable temperature (and humidity) conditions in the cold storage environment.
