Project Background:
The client is a modern technology enterprise specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of beverage ingredients, with four major production bases in Henan, Anhui, Guangxi, and Hainan. To meet the rapidly growing demand for production and storage, the company sought to upgrade its warehouse with automation.
Solution Configuration:
Previously, finished goods were stored in single-layer stacks, underutilizing vertical space;
Manual inbound and outbound registration processes were complex, inefficient, and prone to inaccuracies—requiring intelligent management;
Two fire zones were established, requiring consideration of cross-zone operations and pallet compatibility.
Pain Points:
Equipment and Quantity: 28 four-way shuttles, 12 vertical lifts;
Number of Charging Stations: 28 sets;
Number of Rack Levels: 2 floors, a total of 8 rack levels;
Pallet Size: 1300 × 1100 mm.
Results:
The number of storage locations reached 16,000, significantly increasing storage capacity and greatly improving warehouse space utilization;
Inbound efficiency: 80 pallets/hour, outbound efficiency: 150 pallets/hour, improving operational efficiency;
WMS and WCS systems optimized warehouse logistics processes, enabled cross-zone operations, shortened cargo loading/unloading and transportation times, and reduced labor costs.
